I piddled around on Beaver Creek last night before dark. I was throwing a white grub tail jig into the shallows where those grass like sticks poke out of the water. I caught 4 pretty quickly and a couple of huge bluegill

I will be in skaggs and beaver creek this weekend. I am in a burgangy colored Pro Craft with gold lettering. If you see me, stop and we will compair notes. Also, there is a tournament at Barren Aug 1. Sign on 31 e says it pays out $2000. I have not fished any tournaments this year but may try it. Do you know anything about it? Who to call? Fish on. Ed

Thats the big bass tournament I believe. All you have to do is catch the largest bass of the tournament and you da winner!

This tournament info is posted here on the site now by someone, but it IS a big fish, night-time deal.
You do know the Fishers Of Men are having an event there Saturday right? If not I thought I would mention it since this means you will likely have company where you are going. I am in that event, and "Pastorbass" and I need to finish pretty well to move on since we are a few spots removed from making the cut, so although I would love to "compare notes" please do not think we are rude if we don't since it could get us DQ'd. We will be in my American Flag covered Returning Hero's Home Skeeter, if you see us (we won't be hard to pick out) say hello. We can talk to others, just not about fishing spots, bait, ect while on the water.
If anyone has any ideas on where to go we are all ears since I have been "grounded" (wife got feed up with all the tourney's and put me on weekend restriction for a few weeks ) for a while and am not going to be able to pre-fish it. Thanks for any help you can be (and if you can be help please PM me so not everyone in the world will see it), and either way have a GREAT WEEKEND ON THE WATER!!

Let me clarify what Rob is trying to say... He got the rules a little flip flopped If you have been on the water from safe light this Monday up until now, we can not use your information. Off limits period is from Monday the week of the tournament until Safelight on the Friday of the tournament. Anglers can not be on the water or solicit information from other anglers who were on the water during those periods. Just wanted to make sure we stay legal and there are no questions and definately no dq's. Thanks
