Gas/oil mixture question

I bought a 1971 65 h.p. Mercury outboard motor and i thought gas/oil mixture would be {50-1} then somebody told me it should be {40-1} anybody know what the correct mixture is for this motor for sure. Thanx for any info. Jc

50:1 is what i found that was for 1964 and up on iboats.com
