My big Rant for today and a question for yall too.....

well yall remember my dog situation with the mans dog attacking mine and not paying well i finally got him to cause he failed to pay me for 4 or 5 months.... well today my other neighbor has a 2 year old boy that plays in our yard cause it has a nice size lot to play in.... well he asked me why there was a bunch of dog poo over there i didnt have a clue.... so i come home today from running some errands adn guess what that old man is standing in the middle of my yard letting his dog poo and not cleaning it up..... i get out of my truck and come unglued almost cause the gall of this man to do that i told him to take his rearend and his dog off my property and if i see him on there again he is going to jail from trespassing.... then he says i aint going to let my dog attack yours again... well i just told him that wont happen again in a coercive manner..... cause he only paid me half the bill and it took 5 months to get that money from him and him and that little twinkle toes dog prance around the neighborhood.... grrrr it fires me up to think of the gall that man has to screw me out of money cause of his dogs damages then he comes and trespasses adn lets his dog poop in my yard and not clean it up..... i just told him next time i catch him out on my land i am going to call the law.... i am not one to cause trouble by no means but i aint going to let people walk all over me and disrespect my property... that aint right....

OK here is the question...

Yall seen the news about the dog getting the baby out of the crib and carrying it off.... i know what i would have done to the dog if it had packed my baby off and it wouldnt be in the pound.... I wonder since this has made world headlines what would have happened if that dad or mom had went and got that baby and shot and killed that dog...... i bet some animal activists would be suing their tails off or be picketing in their yard.......

I would not have shot the dog, but would have taken him straight to a vet, with a request as the owner to have him put to sleep. In my own opinion, a dog that ever executes such an unprovoked attack on a human, has shown a portion of his behavior that simpy can not be tolerated. I've had dogs, and loved them, would do anything for them, and missed them bad when they were either lost, or it was just their time to go. But, to me, as the master, and the one who provides the roof and food the pup lives under and with, when I see such a thing happen, then I think I have the responsibility to insure it can never happen again. Instinct or not, I think the attack on a child is well beyond tolerance.

Contact your local law enforcement agency and fill out a NO TRESPASS WARRANT against this individual. If he shows up again (have video evidence) contact authorities and he will be arrested.

On the other hand, I'd be inclined to shoot his dog and beat the heck out of the owner, but don't do that no matter how good you think it would feel.

Also notify local Animal Control about the situation.

Told you that you should have dropped kicked that dog when you had the original problem...now he is crapping in your yard for being such a nice guy.

If you have not done so already, call animal control. You should let them know about the trouble you've had with this guy/dog in the past. Creates a paper trail if nothing else. They are pretty responsive, especially to aggressive dogs. Let them deal with him from there.

Pick up the most poo you can in a bag and take it too his house and throw it in his yard. Make sure it gets spread around.

My brother-in-law, Doug, had the same problem except his neighbor walked a big dog around their shrubbery and sidewalk ignoring many warnings to stop it. Doug was a business man and, as such, wore a suit and tie to work every day. One morning he went by the flower bed and stepped up to his knees in dog poop. He let loose with some foul language that could be heard in the next county and vowed revenge. Early the next morning he opened the drapes in the living room and sat in a recliner drinking coffee. He saw the neighbor come over and walk the dog in Doug's front yard again. As the man was taking the dog back home, Doug went out, scooped up the poop in a shovel, and marched over to the man's house. He rang the doorbell and the man answered. Doug said, "Watch this," as he walked into the man's garage. He came outside just as Doug dumped the poop on the hood of his new Mercedes-Benz and slammed the shovel down on top of it with poop flying everywhere. Doug called him some bad names and said, "I told you not to walk your gd dog in my yard and you wouldn't listen. Maybe a pile of dog ---- and a dent in your hood will help you remember." That stopped the problem completely.

Neighbors cat used to climb up on my boat and drag its dead "catch of the day" up there for storage and safe keeping. Talked to the neighbor 5 or 6 times nicely to ask for help. No help. So I took mouse traps and set half a dozen on the boat, no bait in them, just little cat landmines, at the favorite spots the cat used to drop things at. Then put a big sign on the side of the boat facing the neighbors house that said "CAUTION, KEEP PETS AWAY, MOUSE TRAPS ON-BOARD".

Ready?

Next night the neighbor came by mad as hell, told me I was threatening his cat, demanded removal of the sign and the traps, and then recommended I "fence in my boat to prevent intrusion".

I could not contain myself, I was laughing so hard I almost lost my balance. Guy got real mad, left, and hasn't talked to me since. 12 years now or so.

So his cat, that climbs over his 4 foot fence, and enters my yard, is threatened by mouse traps that the cat would never get into if he was not:
a. in my yard
b. on my boat
c. out of his own yard, and not being controlled by the pet owner.

A week later, the cat was found dead, hit by a UPS truck, witnessed by several neighbors, 3 blocks from its home. I feft for the animal.....if the owner had controlled the pets visits out of his year and onto my boat, it may have saved the cat's life. Oh well.............

We actually had this problem in the neighborhood in which I live and we put up signs that say to pick up the poop it's the law. The random piles have decreased for sure.

I'll let you borrow a couple of my horses for a day,they'll leave a pile to remember in your neighbors yard.They'll stomp his dog to pieces if it bothers them too.
