Hawaii again declares Obama birth certificate real

HONOLULU – State officials in Hawaii on Monday said they have once again checked and confirmed that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen, and therefore meets a key constitutional requirement for being president.

They hoped to stem a recent surge in the number of inquiries about Obama's birthplace.

"I ... have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen," Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. "I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."

I really don't know why I'm doing this but here goes.

a. You are now the President of the United States of America.

b. You come from the most corrupt, seedy, underhanded state Govenment in those United Sates be it Illinois.....bar none.

c. Your road to the White House was cluttered with VERY questionable campaign practices. The now once known as ACORN has been dismantled and dispersed, Hmmmm.

d. You say that you had only been around Rod Blagovich once and that was at a Chicago Bears game and he was only in shouting distance. Only to have others show later COUNTLESS pictures of you standing hamming it up with the known snake.

e. You throw your Reverend Whitey Hater under the nearest bus when confronted with boat rocking and unsavery light shed upon you.

I can keep going but is it even Fathamible (spelling), that this man could have hid something such as this to get elected. I mean given his rock solid past as a 110 day experienced Senator and all and his unquestionable insatiable thirst for Egomaniac stardom. First black President, blah, blah. It really makes me say Hmmmmmmmm, and it always will. There are things way bigger than this that have been faked before. Nice try Andrew but I'm still not sold.

Anyone remember the way this played out during the long campaign? How long did it take for them to produce or respond to this? I remember them taking their time...I would feel better about this recent story if the state of Hawaii wasn't a Blue state.

Wasn't crying, nor did I bring it up......this time. I responded to his post, I realise what we are up against and if we through his dumbass out of office we would have Joe Biden as President. I'm sorry but I'm not convinced that wouldn't be an improvement. I don't lay awake in bed worrying about BHO being a true Untied States citizen, I have much bigger fish to fry than that I can assure you.

Here's the reason it is relevant. We all know Arnold Swarz... oh heck.. I can't spell his last name.. you know .. the terminator... he too is very politcal, and I am sure he would love to be our prsident. If Obama isn't a natural born citizen, or as I like to call us, Native Americans, then Arnold would have the precedence set to allow his running for office.

Yes I am republican, and yes, I know how liberal CA. is and I know the trouble they are in. I am in NO WAY suggesting he should be elected as president. Just giving a reason why things like this are important, and why people spend 'calories' on them. They provide the precedence law is made from.

Figured after congress certified the vote (http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2009Jan...lVotes,00.html) and the Supereme Court threw out a law suit against Obama, McCain (born in Panama), and a third party candidate (don't remember the name) stating that none were natural born citizens; therefore, ineligible to serve as president (http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2008Dec...sObama,00.html) most folks would not buy into the rumors. Similar to after the 2000 election when some far left dems bought into the Michael Moore conspiracy that Bush had stolen the election (I didn't buy that one either).

As far as for why the birth certificate was held back the first time around, I don't know. My guess would be that given that the election commission had accepted his application, he was legit. If he had spent the time/money/energy to address what seemed like an obvious rumor, then he would have ended up spending a good deal of time and money debunking every ridiculous claim what some wacko thought up rather than spending the time trying to get his message out.

Believe what you want to believe, I just fine it hard to accept that someone could pull off an scam to get the White House. Too many folks from both parties (and third parties) that they would have to have on board to do it. Also hard to post a birth announcement in the paper almost 50 years after the fact, something dug up by the Clinton campaign while digging for dirt to discredit him.

If the rumor helps folks to do as Geo suggests and get more involved in politics, then the debate is not in vain. Let the pols know what you think about them and the policies they are supporting. Find a candidate that you can support, regardless of party affiliation. Its not a dem/repub or conservative/liberal thing, its an AMERICAN thing. Do what you feel is best for the country and stop buying into all the crap that either party tries to feed you.

Actually, it wouldn't cause it is against the constitution for a non-native born American to be elected president. If it were determined that Obama was in fact not born in the US, he would be thrown out of office.

I seem to remember years ago some discussion came up concerning Kissinger and whether he could be in line for president. I don't remember the out come of that one. May be someone else can fill in the details.

True Andrew, but unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your outlook, our courts now MAKE law. Law is almost always made or set upon precedence. Therefore, the supreme court could easily over rule the constitution and pass its own law!

Check recent supreme court rulings, or any court rulings, most always point to a precedent. Don't believe me, quit reading our mind controlling posts... LOL, and watch Law And Order!! They always point to precedence.

I hope you are right Andrew, and that ultimately what would happen is our constitution would be upheld, but I am really afraid that instead, our courts would find a way to re-write the constitution with their new laws.

Law and Order (a fictional show!) deals with criminal cases. Precedent may come into play there in dealing with what is allowed to be presented as evidence and so forth. With regard to the current discussion, this does not come into play. Congress makes the laws, not the courts. In addition, the constitution is quite clear on who can be elected president. It would take a constitutional amendment to change that. If the constitution were to be changed, it would have to occur prior to someone being elected for that person to hold the office. That is, Obama was elected under the requirement that the president be an natural born US citizen. If it were proved that he violated this law, then he would be removed from office, end of story.

Not being a native born American citizen makes you ineligible to serve as President, not just to be elected, so Kissinger wasn't in the line of succession. But the Constitution doesn't say you have to have been born "in the US," or else John McCain, who was born on a military base in Panama, would have been ineligible.

I didn't read the article, and I didn't read hardly anyone's posts here accept for yours Andrew but dag gone man...what really burns my britches is the FACT that "state officials" in Hawaii are wasting their time seven or eight months AFTER Nobama was elected/sworn in or whatever...just another FINE example of our pathetic government employees wasting OUR money!! Hello people!!! Wake the heck up!! Nobama already won the election...and besides, what would we do now if by some chance he was indeed found to NOT be an American Citizen? What would happen, does anyone know? Sarah's out of the picture now, not sure what McCain is up to...and besides that McCain was held prisoner of war and beat with bamboo sticks, he PROVED his dedication to this country ten fold if you ask me, and we STILL turned him away, not sure he would run again even if he was asked to. Oh well...Still the best country to reside in but I sure as heck wonder where we're headed!
