MANCHESTER, Ky. (AP) - A sheriff says rescue workers have found the body of a 16-year-old boy who was killed along with a 20-year-old man when their fishing boat capsized on a river in southeastern Kentucky.

Clay County Sheriff Kevin Johnson said the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on the Red Bird River between Oneida and Big Creek. Johnson said he is withholding the names of the victims pending notification of kin. He said drowning appeared to be the cause of death.

Johnson said eight males ranging in age from 16 to 23 were fishing on a small boat intended to carry fewer people. There was no sign of alcohol involvement and no charges would be filed, he said.

A search and rescue crew combed the river bottom and found the man there around 7:50 a.m. The boy's body was found about four hours later.
