Shimano is coming out with a strictly cranking rod called the Shimano Cumara Reaction. I would check into them. With Shimano's warranty, you can not beat there rod. Hands down the best company out there in rods. Here is a website you can look at the review on there. BPS Crankin sticks, one of the best out there for the money, go with a 7ft or longer, I like 7.6.

I like the 6'6" 100% fiberglass rod. I have a couple different models and love them all.

I love my David Fritts glass/graphite combo's. Don't get me wrong, I would not trade my Shimano's but the Fritts is the first rod I pick up when I am cranking.

I have Shimano rods and love them and the warranty. I'd go with a 7' medium in the Compre or Crucial lines.
