    I have ate them before. They are not as good as other panfish in my opinion but not bad. They are thick little suckers, broad in the back. The only bad thing about catching them is they give up the fight about halfway to the boat once they are on top of the water. I have caught them close to a pound at Herrington and seen one suspended at Stoner around a tree once that was well over a pound. Biggest one I have seen ever!

    yea they think there mean i catch them on crankbaits all the time and they are good to eat
