    Re: The weeks rain total

Alright boys it has now reached the ridiculous stage. It's washing parked cars out into the street in several locations, yes parked cars. We have had around 2 more inches here this morning and we are lucky, parts of Louisville and Southern Indiana are reporting 4 and 5 inches of rain. On top the weather liars are saying this is just the warm up round the real rain will be here this afternoon, lol.

Chuck if you go out on that river this Friday you my friend are NUTS, LOL.

Well,at least we got 2 days without.Managed to mow about 12 acres of the 28 I need to mow.Got enough sweet corn put up to last through the winter, only got half my early potatoes dug though,I'm afraid I'll lose quite a few as they will rot in the ground.
Looks like rain the rest of the week.

    Re: The weeks rain total

Mhall ain't kiddin', today it's bad in Louisville and southern Indiana! Had to go to the dentist this morning so I was later to work than usual...I could couldn't to work taking one road, so I tried another...nope that road was shut down too! Turned around and thought I'd try another way then it started hailin'...called work and told them I was having a heck of a time getting there. They said to heck with it, they had 6" of water in the basement and had to move some cars around in and out of the parking lot due to flooding.

Every since that wind storm last September we have had some bizarre weather...here in Louisville we have anyway, not sure about everywhere else, southern Kentucky, etc. I'm about tired of it though. Think I might say to heck with going to work at all today and hitting the farm pond instead, heck why not.

Bud Sheirdein with MSD just issued a statement on the noon news that said we just set another record in Louisville. They recorded 6 inches of rain in ONE HOUR. They are also saying we might see another 3 to 5 inches of rain yet this afternoon.

This is just nuts. Remember 1997? In that flood, the Louisville area got about 12" of rain in about 30 hrs. This morning, parts of downtown Louisville got half that much in and hour and a half! And the second round is on its way now. Yikes!

And get this. The Louisville Bats have a raincheck hotline you can call to see if a game's been cancelled or what. I just called it, and it said "Please call back after 4:00 for more information." So they're considering playing the game! Granted, that field is amazing when it comes to drainage, and if it's done raining, they can most likely have a playable ballfield. But what will the fans have to drive through to get there? I just don't think that's right. They should cancel the game.

Good call. At one point this morning 67 roads were shut down do to high water and that included I-64 North for a time. We need about two solid weeks without a drop not even a bird peeing, it's bad on alot of people right now. They were rescueing older folks this morning out of their houses over in the Highlands in rafts because it was coming in their houses.

Please Lord shut off the water.............

The Louisville Slugger Field can drain 4-6" of rain an hour. That field has won best field for a minor league field several times. Pretty nice. Ryan

Yup, and deservedly so. I've had season tickets since '03, and you hardly ever see home games rained out.

I'm looking at the Doppler, and it looks like the rain is almost gone. Call me a hypocrite, but I'm going to the game! Go Bats!

Weather Channel said L-ville got 6 inches of rain in 75 minutes. Man what a year.
