I happened to catch a little on the local news about the weather. They said El Nino had nothing to do with this, and El Nino is still forming.
What they said is causing this is that an upper level lower has set up over the Great Lakes, and has pushed the jet stream way south. As a result cold fronts are making it as far south as TN when normally we have a high pressure system set up over the Gulf that keeps the jet stream up north, that leaves us protected from the cold fronts.
BTW, they said we should be very hopefull that this system breaks downs before the winter sets in...LOL
Well, after today, here in Western KY, the forecast is for hot, and very humid weather. Storms today, then into the 90's and upper 90's, with "Steamy" humidity for the rest of the week.
Summer is back here boys, if the forecast holds that is.
