Try floating a bubble gum worm around main lake points. Hang on to your pole, they will jerk it out of your hand.

I have a lot at nolin and was there the weekend of july 24-25--i fished friday night off the dock where i have caught 4 bass in the last 6 years that were all 4-5 pnds. No luck-no bites ! Then from my boat sat. Evening hoping to catch some white bass or spots in the jumps. Nothing was busting the surface at all sat. Evening. so i thought sunday morning they would be jumps everywhere. Not! Yes there was some suface activity but scatered. I did catch 6 bass over the weekend but the biggest was 13 inches. I dont know whats up with the fish in nolin this year. Seems like one year it can produce some nice fish and the next its like somebody took all of the 2 pd. Plus fish out of the lake ! Maybe its just me but thats the way it seems to me. Good luck and tight lines. Jeff c.

One thing to watch with Nolin if your fishing on the weekend is how much rain fell during the week. When you get a bunch of rain like they did the last 2 weeks (they got about 6 inches from one wednesday to the next) then the lake is going to rise and the corps will start pulling it really hard. A lot of fish will suspend out in the middle until the lake settles back down. There will also be a large percentage that position themselves in small areas trying to get out of the current. If you don't hit THAT spot you don't get bit. Find stumps, laydowns and brush too. The current will put fish on wood really quick. You have to remeber largemouth are friggin lazy and don't want to put out the energy to stay in the current.
