I don't think you will be disappointed with the BPS floro. Vanish is garbage. I lost a tournament on Yatesville using vanish. Had to nice keepers break off. Ended up in second.

Re: thoughts on bass pros xps flouro??

I have used the BPS floro for years and have had very few break offs. The only problems I have had came on the lower lb test line with shakey heads and that was probably from setting the hook too hard. I would highly recommend it. I did hear a rumor that said they had someone new manufacturing the floro and I have not had to buy any this year.

XPS is a good flouro. That being said, I normally use Seaguar because of availability at my local tackle store. I have use XPS 17lb on my carolina-rig, and big spoon and liked it.

Flipping I use 20lb Seaguar flouro or 65lb braid. I prefer flouro, and I love to flip. Just check for nicks and abrasion often.

I haven't tried the BPS Flouro but I will attest that I can't stand any of the Berkley or Stren Flouro's. Too many breakoffs and too much memory.

I use Vicious Flouro for everything except topwater and for that I use their copolymer. I used the 15-17lb Vicious Flouro for flipping all the time even this year when the water was up above the bushed on KY and Barkley. Never once broke off a fish and I set the hook super hard, just ask Kenny we both sent fish sailing this weekend while flipping on the river.

The key to breakoffs is to have you drag set right and check and retie your line often. If you haven't thrown Vicious check it out, its a lot cheaper and its made in the USA.
