    High river water

OK, you river rats. Heres the situation. Have a bass tournament tomorrow night on the Ohio River. The river will be about 6-7 feet above summer pool on a slow fall. It is muddy and swift. I would like some tips for fishing this situation. Thanks in advance.......

First, I would suggest getting to a creek with clearer water-if possible. If not possible, think chartreuse spinnerbaits, rattling fire tiger crankbaits in shallow cover that breaks the current-downed logs, rocks, etc and fish SLOWLY. I like logs/trees near fast current that break the current and eddies for the cranks.

    Good luck.

I don,t know what pool your on but go find a shallow creek or ash pond and flip jigs ,craws, spinnerbaits in black and chart crank just keep your head down and go

With all the rain I don't know what it will do to the river but it may be canceled.

    Re: High river water

Thanks for all the input guys. Fortunately all that rain went north of us (Evansville), unfortunately it will come right back down the river in the next few days. I thought I might drag some deeply kept secrets out of you guys but alas, we all kind of think alike.

In the entireEvansville pool there are only two creeks to go into and they are the yahoo that you were talking about. So, if we fish tonight, it will be an interesting experience.

    Thanks again guys.........
