Alright, what's the freakin deal with this ammunition scarcity continuing to drag on and on...I mean, it's beyond ridiculous. Are we not allowed to have availability to ammunition and purchase it anymore in this country?

Cheaper Than Dirt has two brands of .380ACP in stock, both of which are listed at $49.99 / 50-Round Box plus shipping! Are you kidding me? And that is for simple round ball head target ammo, not even carry stuff. It's just outrageous.

.45ACP only has a couple of brands in stock, with round ball target running in the $33-39 ballpark for 50-round boxes, and jacketed hollow points pushing $50 for 25-round boxes!!!!!!!!! WTF???? When it costs me $1 or more to pull the trigger on one of my pistols at the range SOMETHING IS WRONG. I'm not a poor fellow, not a rich cat either, but that kind of money will prevent me from enjoying the hobby - period. I understand supply and demand, but something doesn't seem right here. I understand that a whole lot of folks are hoarding ammunition and the buzz phrase is that "manufacturers can't keep up." Well, I call BS. You can not convince me that ammunition companies can't ramp up production and crank this stuff out. We built tanks and planes and ammunition at break-neck speed going into WWII in massive quantities - We know how to build stuff when we need it. Why can't we get this ammunition thing lined out? Are ammo manufacturers afraid to invest dollars into increased production because they don't want to be holding the bag if guns start getting banned?

I guess I'm just going to have to take the plunge into reloading and make all of that investment. Before I do, can you get that stuff now or is it scarce too?

It's pretty frustrating. Imagine having 18 fishing rods and you can't get any fishing line...you like 14 pound test, but all you can get is 8, and it's $300 for a 100 yard spool.
