how to fish deep water

I haven't had much luck at Rough, but what DaveR said is right on the money. Depending on how deep you're fishing, you might want to step up the weights a little more for that deeper water (like a 3/4 oz football jig, etc).

I don't think many bass will be feeding much deeper than 20 feet around here. especially with the temps being so low this time of year. Maybe spotted bass, but you can catch many of them from 12-25 feet. I've sat in 50 many times, and casted to 10.
