Yep no matter how you feel about him he made some families very happy! I do wonder how he could do this and Hillary could not? I guess the details are to follow...

Alright let me be the first to say a big ''WAY TO GO'' to the slick one William Jefferson Clinton!
I know he has his issues in the past but freeing those two young ladies to return home to their families one of them with a very young girl was very cool. The man is quite the diplomat obviously.
I would love to know exactly what went down, he may have sold Hillary's soul, lol. No wait a minute she doesn't have one, lol.

Way to go Willie! I agree it would be interesting to know what really went down, but I doubt we'll ever know the full story. At any rate, good for him and the 'hostages'.
Never thought I'd feel this way, but I'd take Bill over the current administration hands down. The folks in power now, make him look conservative.
Seeing them get back with their families was great. My only question is, were the ladies safer in a North Korean jail or on a private plane with Bill Clinton?
I would be willing to bet that Hillary was deeply involved with it all. Probably something along the lines of Bill saying "deal with me and let them go, or Hillary will come and stay in N Korea until you do..." Yep, that got the miget thinking
I would also be interested in knowing all the went down. My guess is that a lot of it was a political ploy by Kim Jo Ill (or however you spell his name) to look good in front of the N Korean people.
Andrew
Where you all aware that Clinton supplied North Korea with a nuclear reactor to start with?
That it was Bill Clinton sending Pyongyang our money that started their Nuclear Program? Much like Obama is kissing rears and giving our money away.

I don't think Hillary had a thing to do with it, and frankly, neither did Bill Clinton's skill as a diplomat, IMHO. The N. Koreans specified ahead of time that the two young ladies would be released if a "high-level emissary" were to travel to N. Korea. It was all pre-arranged; all he had to do was go there and not screw things up.

I find it funny that the obamy administration imposed restrictions on Clinton but when Senator obamy went to Europe he talked and acted like the President....hmmm seems like a double standard. Heck why would anyone be surprised by that?![]()
Not a double standard at all. We don't have diplomatic relations with North Korea. They're a communist dictatorship that has threatened war against us more than once. Sending the former President as an official representative would be a huge diplomatic blunder. I think I remember the incident you're talking about, and Obama may have been out of line in Europe, but that's one line he didn't cross. He wasn't over there hanging out with dictators who have recently been test-firing missiles in our direction.
It was reported that while in office, Bill had sent KJI an informal letter of condolance when his father died. It seems one simple act of kindness and courtesy was repaid with another.
