You'd be surprised at how many of the big, tough construction workers were scared to death to help move the tents we had over the archeologists. While I wasn't thrilled,I actually asked a doctor if it was possible to catch cholera from these skeletons or the ground (Not Possible after that long),I was told by an old friend years ago that worked maintenance for Xavier University and frequently had to work around the mortuary science building (morgue). When asked if it bothered him working around those dead bodies,he replied " It's not the dead ones that bother me,it's the Live ones".
I have no proof, but from the number of graves we found and how the ground lay,I'd swear there are more graves under the road and across the road from the new Outdoor Stadium. The state sort of hushed this up to keep progress moving, but there was a news crew there from Lexington one day.Used to be a link from whichever news channel it was that had a film clip that I was in.
To answer the questions, yes you can drive and park near the lake to fish, the bodies were in front of the outdoor stadium's hospitality building for the 2010 World Equestrian Events,I have no idea if it's haunted, but it would sure be a good place.I canceled the internet service on my phone because of cost and can text, but not send pictures.
