This how I started my gull catching career. This one I got on a redfin, and bird was so mad I left my buddy take the hooks out.

I've had a few dive at bait when casting below dams to snag or catch skipjacks for bait.Never caught one (a gull) though,could be a new method of waterfowl hunting though,lol. Woodduck snagging season!
Plus catch and release is more humane than throwing alka seltzer to them. j/k

In another tale,I had an uncle that worked in the coal mines when alka seltzer first came out,somebody gave him a two pack when he had an upset stomach,he didn't ask how to take them and broke them up and swallowed,a few minutes later he said he thought he was going to die when foam started running out his mouth and nose.
