Ahhhh.....tooooo much cooooffffeeeeeee! That has to be one of the worst imitations of MLK I have ever seen. I think we ought to ban together and talk somebody else into rioting first, and see if they get their butts kicked or not. If they don't, then we can join in. Oh, did the guy ever really say what we were supposed to be offended about? Maybe he's just trying to incite us to riot, and see if we get our butts kicked. :-)
i thought it was hilarious!
Is that guy scared of something that goes "bump" in the night? The man holds a Ph.D and he's a pastor, but we all know that everyone who is called "Reverend" aren't necessarily preaching the Word of God. A good example is Farakahn (sp), Jackson, Wright, etc. Wisdom and truth are each justified of itself.
I, too, hold a Ph.D and my degree is in Psychology, not Theology. The man is making prophetic statements; all we have to do is measure the prophecy by the Word of God to see if it passes the test, if it doesn't then it's nothing more than hot air. While he went to great lengths to avoid specifics, I think the gist of his speech/sermon was that the KKK is marching out of the woods to again drive people of color to the back of the bus. When he started listing certain states that would rise up against the blacks, Tennessee, a state with a history of Klan activity, was first on the list; then other states that also have a history of Klan activity. He later added other states that were not noted for having Klans so he could cover his inferences. He was using politics as a platform to try and incite unrest and friction between the races.
He seemed to be trying to imitate some great orator but it certainly wasn't Demosthenes. jmo
That's a good hypothesis and I appreciate your opinion, however, I think with the so called rise in militias, the increase in gun sales, and the increase in Caucasian working class protesters he is just articulating the feelings that are being revealed in the current health care debate. He mentions nothing of the Klan because nobody wants to be associated with the Klan. He allowed the listener to interpret their own meaning using their own personal prejudices. He also did not denigrate any race as a whole. He was definitely anti-Obama though. So it appears that you fell for the bait. It always seems that when someone says something against Obama, the race card is played. Even if the person is black. Race relations have improved over the years and people should try to not confuse political opinions with racial discrimination and that has been happening every time someone disagrees with Obama. Is that guy scared of something that goes "bump" in the night? He wouldn't make a patch on Rush Limbaugh's rear end either!

Let me tell you something Tom523, you inserted a paragraph in my post, shown above this one, that I did not write and made it attributable to me. I am not the author of it and I don't appreciate your attempts to hide your opinion in my post, and not have the guts to own up to it.
I am referring to the paragraph that begins with, "That's a good hypothesis and I appreciate your opinion........blah, blah, blah."
IF YOU'RE GOING TO WRITE IT THEN MAN-UP AND ADMIT IT BUT DON'T TRY TO PUT THAT DUMB SHEET OFF ON ME. Anytime we post something you disagree with, you get a wad in your drawers and try to turn it into a racial issue; I don't know and I don't care what your race is or that of persons living in your house or your grandma. You are not genius enough to lay a trap, or bait, or whatever the heck you want to call it. You used yet another person's material to start the thread and now claim to have laid the bait for us. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FLIPPING MIND?
There's a little flag on this thread that is used to notify Dave and Peter when you need your diaper changed, feel free to use it and make sure you whine about what I've just posted.

I think you might be mistaken. I did not attribute that to you or add it to your post. I replied to your post "with quote" . Don't go getting your panties in a wad about the way the board works. I did not "lay any bait" The bait was laid during the presidential election when anytime someone said something against Obama the reply was automatically "you must be a racist" because you disagree about his political views. You disagreed with the speaker and mentioned the Klan (a racist organization). Sorry for the misunderstanding. BTW I'm as white as a catfish's belly! Thank You!Let me tell you something Tom523, you inserted a paragraph in my post, shown above this one, that I did not write and made it attributable to me. There is no misunderstanding. Who else would have reason to write, in YOUR reply,I think you might be mistaken. I did not attribute that to you or add it to your post. "THAT'S A GOOD HYPOTHESIS AND I APPRECIATE YOUR OPINION" except the person who started the thread? That a crock of bull and you know it. Nobody else posted a reply that contained that paragraph but YOU.
I'm not going to waste my time explaining the psychology of inference or of what some people call reading between the lines or the silent message. If I did, you wouldn't understand it. I did mention the Klan because it was a negative but significant part of history and, whether you know it or not, that organization is alive and well and being tracked every day 24/7/365. They were and remain a terrorist organization who now target other people of color. Just because I mentioned them does not turn me into an ignorant racist.
This thread is getting too heated so I (your newest Moderator) am going to lock it after I post here. I am leaving the thread because what the man says is INTERESING and others may want to hear it but I don't feel we need any further comments.

Wow! I mean Wow!
