You must have gotten a bad dose of excel cause that stuff has so much stretch you could bungie dive with it. It's pretty much bullit proof. As for Stan Sloan someone bought it a while back and they've been up and running for a while. I use to use Stan Sloan too but the hooks are really really really crappy that's why I switched to Cumberland Pro.

I love to fish jigs, and I am getting more confidence in them the longer I fish them. There is a guy in Mt. Washington where I live that makes an awesome jig, his name is Jeff, and his website is WWW.LEGALLIMITLURES.COM. He makes an awesome jig, with any color combo you would want. Give his website a look, and try a couple, you wont regret it.

You might want to check out Slongs Fishing Lures www.slongsfishinglures.com
Sean makes 4 different styles of jigs and will do just about anything you want or can think of... He has a color chart on his website and can custom make a skirt for you... For a brown and orange he makes a color called voodoo that throws in a little green pumpkin and then has a possum color that is even better.. Both colors very successful for me this year...

As far as the excel line goes... I work at BP and we have had a lot of this and including myself and what I think is the problem is we went to a different company to make our line so it isn't the same stuff it used to be... I like the xps flouro and haven't had problems with it but i bought a large spool of the mono and have had problems with it...

Doesn't anyone use D&L Jigs? I have been throwing them pretty much exlusively for the last 2 years and have had the best two years of fishing ever.

I use to throw D & L until I found a product that works better for me. Plus D & L kept changing the jig I threw and it wasn't as good as it us to be. Where do you buy D & L in Cinci Bassnyde ?

    Re: JIGS

I have tried all brands of jigs, Stanley, Hoppy's, Strike King, D&L, Omega, Booya and too many others to name. As of two years ago, when I tried my first Cumberland Pro jig after a buddy's recomendation, I have stopped looking for a good jig.

Cumberland Pro jigs, in all models, are simply the best made jigs I have ever fished. I fish a jig a lot, the hooks are Gammies, the color selection is endless (he offers a lot more than what you see on the website www.cumberlandprolures.com), and the quality is superb. I was so impressed by the jigs that I tried his other lines of lures also, I now fish only Cumberland Pro Shakey Heads, Buzzbaits and Spinnerbaits(day&night-time). His spinnerbaits, like his jigs, are the best I have ever used and again the combo of blade styles and colors is endless.

I have tried many bait manufacturers over time, having fished tourney's for going on 11yrs, but Cumberland Pro jigs and spinnerbaits are the only lures that I have recommended to my fishing buddies were 100% of them switched to the product I recommended, usually somebody has a particular "something" he likes about another bait, not the case with these lures.

Take $20 and go buy a couple of his spinnerbaits and jigs and see for yourself, and save yourself a lot of time like I did trying to find something better. Cumberland Pro is the Best.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about the spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I need to find a new buzzbait since they don't make Picasso buzzbaits anymore.
