Advice wanted: Best wood for transom in jon boat?

I found termites in my aluminum jon boat, so I removed the wood and fumigated. Now I need to replace the wood in the transom. Should I look for cedar, cypress, redwood, pressure treated, or some other type, in order to avoid rotting and insects.
