Day 18 of this visit, Day 29 of the last 38 overall since surgery 23 and since surgery 24, Day 410 in the hospital in the past 4 years. Looks like 25 will either be sooner or definately later. Fighting staff infection, pseudomonious, open wound, impacted bowels (worst pain ever), and other stuff. Had 2 bowel movements since July 21st. Pretty much steady diet of 2g of Dilaudid every 2 hours for the past 18 days just to get thru. Currently have a feeding tube in my stomache and another down my throat, wound vac on my 14 inch incision, and who knows what is next. Should get results of test to determine if I can go home over the weekend or not soon. When I do go home it will be with feeding tubes to feed myself possibly thru them if I can't get regular food down my impacted bowels and esophogus. Tired now, won't be able to respond for sending back laptop with my wife tonight home. First day I had her bring it so thought I would post what is going on. Thanks for all the prayers, make sure you include my wife and son for it is really tough on them right now and they need more prayers than me. Best wife and son in the world and they don't deserve to be put thru this. Thanks again, now go catch a fish for me. Elwood

Hang in there. And when you get home if you need something to eat I will bring you that case of sunflower seeds. I think we can get some of them down that feeding tube. HAHA
