Went out this morning til about 2pm. The water was at 84-86. The wind was brutal! Caught 8 bass 3 of which were over the 18" slot. Biggest came in at 4.9lbs. I also talked to the guy up there doing the creel survey. According to him a lot of 5+lbs fish are being taken. Catfishing on the north end of bluegrass is well above avg. Most of thecats are being taken with cut bait right above deep grass. He has not seen any Muskie above the 36" size limit for the lakes. The survey guy said the guy who actually put the Muskie in fished loon pit a couple of Saturdays ago and saw 5 that would of been above or close to the 36" size limit! I've heard of them being caught on loon. And a lot of people I sorta know say they have seen them. But im not sure that what they really saw are the huge gar in loon. But the guy who actually put them in saying he saw them that big is great news! I want a Muskie!!!! None have been seen in bluegrass.
