    Les-
Try looking back at some previous posts. There have been some excellent threads on shakey-head fishing with some awesome tips and advice! I would write more about it, but I too am new at shakey heading.

Netbait or Zoom on the worms....I used to throw my shakey head on a spinning set up....7'2 shimano crucial with a shimano sedona reel...now i throw it on a medium action baitcasting crucial...have found my bite to catch ratio has increased quite a bit since switching....everybody has their own way to fish it and none of them are wrong...you just have to experiment and see what feels best to you

done the same thing and my catch to bite ratio also improved when switching to baitcast and i have to agree there is no wrong way to fish a shaky head.
