Beaver Lake

Anyone been to Beaver or got a report? Thinking of heading over there Saturday.

Dont wast your time, i was down there yesterday (8-24-09) and only cought 2 small dinks. Its tough down there this time of year. Have had decent luck down there in the EARLY spring, but as soon as the water warms up the seem disappear.

Heading there Saturday also. My game plan is EARLY at the edge of daylight I will be throwing a buzzbait. Black, 3/8oz with a clacker. Hugging the shoreline. Making long parrallel casts down the bank. Don't forget to hit those pockets of water between the grass and the bank. Only about a foot deep or less but they will be a good spot for fish to ambush the bait. Use braided line and thrrow that buzzbait into the weeds. Also using a spinnerbait as well in white. Once the sun starts to come up I will probably switch to a shekey head around rock banks or a texas rigged paca craw. Green pumpkin for the paca and plum (zoom) for the shakey. I love this lake! Also may use a big 10" black powerbait worm depending on the color of the water.

Thanks for the replies. I think Beaver is a great lake, I usally can catch some this time of year, just never a keeper. Hope you all have a good safe weekend on the water.
