well, last two tournaments this week seen some super low weight. tues night tournament didnt even have one keeper to claim the winnings. first time in two years i can remember something like this happening. then last nights tournament seen 3lbs and something take the biggest weight with 2 fish out of a three fish limit. the night fishing has been terrible to say the least. and these are not newbie anglers, these are some seasoned vets of the lake. dont know why they will not bite. i went as far as to take time out to use my humminbird si unit and actually zoom in on some bass on the top of a mound, threw right into them with plastics and they would not bite for anything. spinners and cranks also. has anyone else ever seen bass get this lethargic on thier home lakes. daytime seems ok, but at night it is like they just completely shut down.
That has been the story of my summer on Nolin and Barren. This past sunday there was a good shallow bite. And when I say shallow I mean if you were not kicking up mud with the trolling motor you were too deep. But the night bite has been crappy for me all summer.well, last two tournaments this week seen some super low weight. tues night tournament didnt even have one keeper to claim the winnings. first time in two years i can remember something like this happening. then last nights tournament seen 3lbs and something take the biggest weight with 2 fish out of a three fish limit. the night fishing has been terrible to say the least. and these are not newbie anglers, these are some seasoned vets of the lake. dont know why they will not bite. i went as far as to take time out to use my humminbird si unit and actually zoom in on some bass on the top of a mound, threw right into them with plastics and they would not bite for anything. spinners and cranks also. has anyone else ever seen bass get this lethargic on thier home lakes. daytime seems ok, but at night it is like they just completely shut down.
