I've never done real well on cats in the Georgetown area. There are some flatheads and mud cats but few channels. Try the area from Canoe KY down to the river. 10 years or so ago when the hatchery flooded they lost thousands of channel cat fingerlings. I remember fishing down there and you couldn't cast out and get a bait back without hooking a 6" channel.
