I fished monroe the 27th, thur. 4 pm till dark. I started out trying to catch some walleye, I can't catch the eyes fishing for them but catch one once in a wile fishing for bass. Well thur I started catching bass while fishing for walleye. after the first bass I started casting a shad rap in a funky walleye orange off green color and caught 3 quality bass, 3and 1/2 to 4 lbs so I kept casting and caught probably 12 or 14 bass, most 12 to 15 inches never the less, good fish. With the 3 larger fish I would of had decent limit maybe 12 or 13 lbs. This is the best i have done on monroe in several years. All fish caught on the fast side near rip rap ticking the bottom with the shad rap and an ugly bait at that. I kind of wonder if the fish had not seen that color before, The bait was actually a cabela's " look a like" jointed shad rap looking bait. I bought them when you order stuff they ask if you are interested in any sale items. I thing these baits were about a buck and a half so I said sure I'll take 3 or 4 so I've had these several years and have never fished them, they were of a color that apparently didn't sell. can't wait to try them in other water.

16 lbs to win this past Sunday, 45 boats out of 60 had fish, 9 limits, took right at 9lbs to get a check, total of 330 lbs of fish weighed. Not too bad for falling water and a major high pressure system coming in!
