I agree some type of reform is needed. Costs are getting out of control. TORT reform laws are needed. This would save tens of billions of dollars each year and it wouldn't come out of the tax payer's pocket. It's not even in the health care bill. Why not? Because the lawyers have the Dems in their pockets. Another way would be to change laws so that people can buy health care insurance across state lines. This would cause greater competition and lower prices. This would cost the taxpayer nothing. Change laws to allow Canadian made drugs to be sold in the U.S. . This would also increase competition and thus lower prices. Again no cost to the taxpayer. The lobbyist from the Pharmaceutical companies are keeping that from happening. There are many ways to accomplish health care reform without dipping into the taxpayer's pocket. Many were suggested by the republicans but not even considered by the Dems. I believe the Dem's agenda is to lead us on the path of socialism. The more each individual depends on the government, the more the government controls the individual.

Neither party Dem or Rep will touch the Illegal Immigrant issue because of one simple word: "Control",they want the hispanic vote to sway power and they want to drive down our wages and work conditions so that those in power have slave labor and "Control" over us Blue Collar folk.Fact is Illegals are costing all of us plenty,enough to cure alot of the budget woes at every level of Govt.
It needs to be addressed now,not later like Obamunist said,and everyone should contact their Congressman and Reps to stress this point.We need less Govt "Control" which includes Health Care.

I am about an hour from the Ohio river. I wouldnt mind drinking a beer with you but I wouldnt like to take a dip in the Ohio cause of all the pollutants in there but ( CAP AND TRADE ) will hopefully help clean that water up. If the dumb crap and trade bill passes everyone better hope it cleans up the water. Because they wont be able to afford to go buy anything, and dinner will be fish caught out of the river. The only good thing about it will be that people will get to spend alot of time fishing cause they wont have to worry about going to a job.

This thread was not about Cap and Trade but since I brought it up, I would like to know if you think we continue to do nothing how the pollution will get better? IMO it has to start somewhere. I am 42 yrs old and I can remember a time when you could get a drink out of any stream in KY. I cant imagine doing that now, can you? Is the bill perfect, absolutely not but you have to 1st recognize that there is a problem and then deal with it. The alternative is sticking our head in the sand and hoping it will go away. I have 2 children and want the best for them as you do your family im sure. In the 35 yrs or so I can remember look how far we have came and what will the next 35 yrs hold for our children and us. I hope the pollution doesnt double like in China, do you?
