    2 cylce oil -- Evinrude?

Anybody know best place to buy Evinrude/Johnson 2 cycle oil.

I used to get it from a boat dealer that carried it in bulk and had sticker shock when I saw it in a store recently.

I would like to find XD-100 oil in bulk myself.

Won't help you much in Louisville, but if you know someone coming down the Ky Lake you can get XD 50 at Jet-a-Marina here for 21.50 gal in bulk jugs.

Do you run XD-50 or XD100? I heard it was best to run XD 100. What is the difference. I'm not familiar with the E-tec but I need to learn very soon because I'm getting ready to purchase one.

I run XD 50. There are two trains of thought on this...you will hear both sides depending on who you talk to. Basically, XD 100 is harder to find than XD 50 and costs twice as much. For me that is a no brainer. My dealer recommends XD 50 and regular maintenance...which I do. My 07 ETEC HO has over 700 hours on it now. Only problem I have had with it, is I had to replace the oil distributer last week....no other problems...that is a lot of hours with only that one minor problem. But, I do not run my motor WOT ever...and I do my scheduled maintenance ahead of time...about 100 hours ahead of time (scheduled maintenance is 3 years or 300 hours)

I can't remember the guys name now but I bought evinrude oil from a guy once and it was crazy cheap compared to everyone else. It was the guy who has the shop a little across the bridge from wax. He's on the right. It was several years ago when I bought it but it was about $16 a gallon. I'm sure it quite a bit a more than that now.

I think there is a place in Shepherdsville that sells XD100 in bulk for around $25 per gallon. I can't remember the name of it. I'll try to find it.
