    Sympson Lake stupidity!

    To the guy last night in the 18 ft bass boat whom was sitting in the middle of the lake with no lights on! Turn on your lights, especially when you have another boat coming head on at ya! Just missed you by a hair.....Couldn't see your black lights on the other side of your boat. C'mon people!!!!

    Thats why i don't fish at night,even a white light is had too see when your running and i had a close but no way was anyone in danger just i can't judge distance good in the dark.Thats why the better Trails don't hold night tournaments.Just my thoughts.Terry Adolph

    Look at it this way -- if you just missed him by a hair, you probably gave him a pretty good bath (him and his boat) LOL!!!

    it wasn't me....had a few of them this year,plus a couple putting socks on their lights,take them off when you are running...just curious,didn't they make sympson an idle only after dark?i know they were talking about that and a speed limit during the day?

    if all boats would use their lights after dark, we wouldnt need headlights to keep from hitting someone who lacks a little common sense. imo

    I think there is a idle only rule from sunset to 11:00 am. The fool should have lights on.

    Re: Sympson Lake stupidity!

    Well first of all headlights are illegal and I wasn't going fast, it was slightly beginning to fog, this fool had lights on while casting nets for minnows when I came through near the bank, but when I came back through later he was anchored in the middle of the channel and didn't offer to turn his lights on even after I missed him. The speed limit has always been 35 mph during the day, At night I barely run at plane. Wouldn't have mattered if I was paddleing cause it was pitch dark. I've seen this many times there especially with canoes! People even fishing from the dock have no respect for the boat ramp. Dude would not reel in his line at the ramp so I could off load, said he was there first. I said ok and drove through his lines. I pay my fees, and try to do things right, but I'm not gonna let dummies ruin my good time. If any of you game wardens read this stop by sometime and check things out. I'll give you a ride around the lake...that's my venting for the day....LOL

    [QUOTE=BPenrod;380341]Whats a better trail?[/QUO

    Thats just a statement and everone has an opinion,I won't fish a trail that don't have a web site(want too see points)After all its cheap too run a web site.GoDaddy is like $5 a month.Safe light can't mean dark or night.Just my opinion and not putting any down but night tournaments arn't for me.I tryed them last year and was just giving my 2cents.Terry Adolph
