I was talking to a gentleman the other day that asked me what sort of hobbies i enjoyed in my free time. The first thing out of my mouth, and the first thing outta my mouth anytime in my life that question has been asked of me is "fishin." the guy looked at me and said "well i wouldn’t have figured you for a fisherman." now i did't say anything to him about why he thought that but i wondered what about me it was that made him draw such a conclusion, but that is another discussion altogether. Anyway, i told him that i have fished my whole life, as long as i can remember and that even though i enjoyed many other hobbies over the years as well that fishing is what has always left me with the fondest memories and rewarded me the most. He looked at me and asked the question, “well, did you ever quit fishing, or get tired of it?” quit fishing? Get tired of it? What kind of crazy question is that, i mean that thought has never crossed my mind, not ever! Not even on the most discouraging days on the water i can think of. I knew immediately that this guy wasn’t a fisherman or he would have never asked such a question. So i have been thinking about this conversation over the past few days and although other hobbies have come and gone fishing has, and always will be something i will continue to enjoy and love so long as the good lord lets me!
