OK explain this idea about healthcare

They get elected again because of folks voteing a streight ticket. We can no longer do that anymore. Both parties have bad folks in office. We need to look for new folks to elect and this will show the gov that we are tired of the way things are run. We need to study more by watching more than one news channel, listen to the radio and read more than one news paper. At one time news reporters were to report the facts. That does not happen any longer. Today they try to program us as to what to think. A lot of what is going on now you can read about in the book 1984.

I remember reading George Orwell's "1984" in the 6th grade and the impact it made. If you want further results of socialism and big government, read Orwell's "Animal Farm". A very short book with extremely powerful lessons.

Animal Farm and 1984 were REQUIRED reading when I was in school.

Now, they are HARD to find in the library.......I don't believe ANY LIBRARY in New Albany has them.......

That idea is going the wrong way in my opinion. If the government is going to get involved, I'd rather they banned health insurance rather than required it.

I think the health insurance monopoly is one of the main reasons that the cost of health care is so high.

And as a reminder - health INSURANCE does not equal health CARE.

What about the health insurance companies that own hospitals and employ doctors and other health care providers. I think that they have a lot to do with the high cost of health care. Look at how much they charge for a band aid.

In India if you have a prescription you have that prescription for life. Here we need to go back to the doc every few weeks or months in order to get refills. I have enough smarts to check my blood pressure or sugar in order to see if my meds are working or not.

There does need to be changes in the way we manage our health care but the folks in DC are trying to change to much to fast.
