Orwells Animal Farm and 1984........A quick poll.

I read both of them when I was in High School, more years ago then I care to think about. I do remember that Animal Farm was compulsary reading but when I happened to bring 1984 to school with me to show a frined, one of my teachers saw it and said I "shouldn't be reading such trash!" We are well past 1984 but we are fast "getting back to the future."

My World Affairs teacher......a pretty serious liberal......made us read Animal Farm and 1984.

Funny thing....he NEVER, EVER made his ideas on politics known. I only found out about his political views after high school.

I had him in AP history and AP Government also.....GREAT, GREAT teacher.
