Had a question or two then I saw the clock on the control bar. A prayer for those who have lost loved ones, all of those that died that day, and every day since in the war on terror how many more folded flags are there to go, before the world can just be at peace even for a day? Thanks to those who served and those serving us now I just wish you were home.
When we hit the water this day stop and look up see the planes in the air 8 years ago there were none. As a Veteran who lives near a large cematary tears still run down my cheeks when those rifles say the final good by! So take a moment today and thank God you and I still have our homes and our flag.
Thanks from this humble man to all of those who deserve so much more.

Glad you posted your comments! Well said. Your words of the planes in the sky reminds me of that day personally. When the second aircraft hit the tower I was at work (UPS airlines) I said to our group "that was in shock" if we have any planes in New York ATC Center they need to get to the ground immediately. About 10 minutes later ATC Declared an emergency and all aircraft in the United States were ordered to land. Any aircraft coming into the US was diverted to another country or returned to its departure airport. It felt like a weird dream .. each aircraft dispatcher scrambled to send messages or call each of their flights to land at the nearest suitable airport. I told one captain we had a terrorist attack in New York and to divert. He asked me to repeat my call twice not believing what he had heard. Within about 4 hours, the screen that showed about 4000 aircraft in the sky was blank. We all entered a new world that day. God bless those who died that day and those who have sacraficed since.
I work downtown Louisville...........in the 22nd floor of the National Tower building. Talk about WIERD.
After the second plane, it was 30-40 minutes until ATC declared a national emergency and grounded aircraft. I had a FULL length window back then, and could see every aircraft that was in the path of the building........
After a few minutes......I left and went home.........
Later,
Geo
That would be scary Geo, every plane coming from the north lines up on National City Tower. I worked security there for a few years and had to go on the roof twice a night to make sure the beacon was working and when those things are coming right at you it would scare me to death.I work downtown Louisville...........in the 22nd floor of the National Tower building. Prayers to all who have lost loved ones over this ordeal and to all who are serving right now.
There are only 2 people that will give their lives freely for you, one is Jesus, and the other is a soldeir. On this day we need to thank them both for this great country, and the freedoms we have. God bless them.
Agree 100%, but lets not forget our fireman! 343 died in the towers that day.
