Gizzard Shad

I am wanting to learn more about Gizzard Shad. I want to learn to catch them myself. Where can I go close to Louisville to find these varmits. Is there any way to attract them?

Is there any other way than a cast nest to catch them?

I also want to try and keep them in a bait tank at my office. I have large plastic tanks that I can utilize.

Patoka Lake has millions of gizzard shad - you could find them in any of the creeks feeding the lake...

some of those guys have caught gizzards in Louisville and hauled.
