I didn't realize he had the disease for 20 years...if this is true then it's amazing he lived as long as he did. Pancreatic Cancer patients usually don't live long once they're diagnosed. I have a very VERY good friend who's battling that same disease right now, I think she was diagnosed two years ago....so far she's doing amazingly good considering when they first diagnosed her they gave her 6 months to live.
Roadhouse is the movie I remember most.
Yeah that was terrible to see him shrink down with Cancer. I liked "Next of Kin", "Roadhouse" and "Point Break" all good action movies. He was a tough man. RIP....I didn't realize he had the disease for 20 years...if this is true then it's amazing he lived as long as he did. Pancreatic Cancer patients usually don't live long once they're diagnosed. Patrick was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2008. The average life span of a patient with that type of cancer is about two years. Your friend is a very lucky person.I didn't realize he had the disease for 20 years...if this is true then it's amazing he lived as long as he did. Former President Jimmy Carter's entire family died of that horrible disease.
Agree it is a terrible disease. Now all you big strong guys, how many of you were moved to tears during the scene in ghost?
Although he didn't have a huge role in it,I always liked the movie "Uncommon Valor" too.
Having lost family members in the Vietnam war always strikes a nerve in me,especially the way returning Vets were treated and how our wonderful Govt left POW's there.
Ghost got to us all. A good movie, but so was all his movies, Wasnt he from KY?. I lost a friend last year to this cancer, he was dianosed in july died in Aug last yr. Patrick was a good actor and seemed to be a good person. RIP
I loved that movie, I've seen it several times. I like when Randall ''Tex'' Cobb a bad man I might add kicks the crap out of Patrick then learns the reason he wants to go is because his Dad was shot down and missing, then he picks him up and carries him off, Way cool!
