Way to go! Don't worry about the fly fishing thing, it's an acquired skill! That's hilarious that the guide was appalled by your super duper, and even funnier that he had never seen one before. Guides up in that region are die hard fly fisherman, doesn't suprise me that he snubbed his nose at your hardware.

Good luck tomorrow on the other stream. I would have to agree that the CR is pretty sweet, although she is going through some rough times right now. She'll make it through it though.

I would have to say that the best trout river I have ever fished is the Green River in Wyoming, by far.
