I'm a bass fisherman first and foremost but with Green River Lake being my home lake i also poke around in muskie fishing some....saw something today that really made me wonder

I was fishing in the back of a creek....probably 3 1/2' of water....throwing my favorite little crankbait when i feel a bite....then the unmistakable pull of a muskie....fought the fish for a few minutes and finally get it up to the top of the water by the boat to try to get my bait back without bringing the toothy critter in the boat....this was about a 28-30" fish...what happens next i really cant explain

I'm down on my hands and knees bent over the edge with my line in one hand and my pliers in the other when i out of nowhere i hear a loud commotion at the other end of my muskie....when i look back what do i see and feel....another muskie has ahold of the tail of my muskie....i've seen em up to 45" and this one was all of that if not more....with the tail in her mouth i feel her give me about 2 good jerks and then she disappeared as quickly as she had appeared....

I assume she was trying to eat the smaller muskie but wow....trying to eat a 2 1/2' fish....have never heard of muskie doing this but just wondered if anybody else out there had ever heard of or saw it happen

PS: Kinda makes me wonder about swimming in GRL
