Just got back from Brookville had a pretty good night. It started out slow. We caught some smaller bass on the main lake mostly Smallies. Moved to the causeway and caught a keeper smallmouth on a yellow magic popper. Then we headed north and caught a small largemouth and a good sized white bass on a rocky point. Tried our usual productive spots and nothing. So towards dusk we headed to our fav spot and there were shad everywhere. We were both throwing poppers and the action was fast and furious for about 20 minutes. We landed 6 smallmouth in that span. 3 of them were in the 2 lb range, then the last 1 was a giant. He destroyed my popper. It was a smallie that tipped my scale at 5 lbs even. What a great way to end the night. Still amped up from the catch
