Maker’s Mark Distillery has filed a federal lawsuit accusing some competitors of a trademark infringement by allegedly copying the Kentucky bourbon maker’s famous red wax seal.
The suit filed this week in Louisville names the maker of the high-end tequila Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia as a defendant, along with Diageo North America Inc., which distributes the tequila in the United States.
Maker’s Mark claims the red wax coating on the tequila has spurred purchases by some people who mistakenly think the product is connected with Maker’s Mark.
Here's a link, look at both bottles, what do ya think?

I guess I better get the red wax candles out of my bedroom. If one drips on the wrong spot, Maker's Mark might think that too looks too much like their bottle.![]()
