I'm not at all surprised he dropped it. His mistake was trying to field it in the fist place. What I was referring about was compare that game to the previous one and all of them last year. This is his complete team, I think they have potential, a play here or there they win. His play calling looked ALOT better and needs a little tweaking with this team.I still cant believe guy dropped that ball.
Honestly, this game turned out to be about what I expected.
Close...some key mistakes that could have turned the tide either way...and Kentucky just happened to come out on top. Both teams did their fair share to give it away. In the past, with Kentucky's luck, we would have been on the short end of the stick. I fully expected a last minute heroic catch from the Cards that would have done to us what we did to them 2 years ago with Woodson-to-Johnson...but it wasn't to be.
Kentucky has a solid defense, similar to last year. Kentucky has a spotty offense, similar to last year, and not improved as much as some in the Blue camp want to believe. We have special teams issues. We will see how it develops throughout the murderers row that we are up against next. Florida-Bama-South Carolina. Ouch.
The Cards are not a bad team. Burke is going to be a player, just wait. He was on a mission today in front of the home town crowd, but is just a little too green behind the ears yet to make it happen...let him ripen for a season and see what he does for you. He will be alright.
Krags...well...gotta agree with you fellows. He likely needs to go.
Kentucky will finish 7-5, at the very best...and that may be reaching.
Louisville...I honestly don't know.
Sorry guys ,I had to do this, don't get too mad....

I know one thing I'm peeved I don't get ESPNU. Sounded like an exciting game only thing I could do was watch the crawl at the bottom of the screen for updates. I agree with Splitshot the game played itself out about like I expected it to given the scenario. A turn-over plagued third quarter gave UofL the chance it needed to hang around in the game. At the beginning I thought it was going to be the other scenario where UK comes out all guns blazing at the beginning with Louisville digging a deep hole early.
They almost pulled it out though. Both teams will have things to tackle this week at practice.
Tim T good objective posts.
I think they can steal a couple of games on the schedule but hopefully defeats that should have been wins on that same schedule will not negate.

Just have the Rescue Squad lined up when Bama and Kentucky play. Bama played North Texas Nursing Home and the score was 53-7 BAMA (3-0). ROLL TIDE, ROLL!Honestly, this game turned out to be about what I expected.

I appreciate your thoughts on Bama. As Elvis would say, "Thank you, thank you, thank you very much."
I'm thinking Kentucky will be a little more competitive than North Texas, guess you never can tell,Bama is looking good and I don't expect an upset. That said Kentucky surprised me against Alabama last year and Bama barely escaped,so like I said, you just never know.
Florida is beatable...Tebow is THE factor for Florida...Without him, it's a whole different game. I think we need to send Micah Johnson at him over and over and over again...get in his head...throw a few late hits on him if we have to. LOL. The last #1 team that rolled into Commonwealth left with a big "L" packed in their luggage...your welcome, LSU. (Of course, they did go on to win a National Championship.) It can be done. I'm not saying that it WILL be done Saturday, but it CAN. I'm just not convinced yet that UK is better than we were last year...in which case, I'd expect about the same loss this year against Florida.
Bama is also a force, SEC Contender...and we will liklely be all banged up. It doesn't bode well for Kentucky. I always root for SEC teams in out of conference play, but I was unable to root for Bama against North Texas. One of the guys at work has a son who is starting right guard for North Texas O-Line, so I was hoping for a Mean Green Upset.
My favorite Alabama game was the 1991 Fiesta Bowl lol!
