Well guys your right,,well we ended up catching 25-30 stripers..I didn`t know that it had rainned 4-5 inches,,,well maybe as wet as my butt was. LOL.I had to keep the bilge pump on the whole time, and when I went to ge ton a plane,I had so much water in her she wouldn`t get up on a plane till i got all the water that was in the front pumped out. I know I got 1 waterlogged boat,,,it`ll never dry out. I`m going to try and put the pic of the fish on the photo board if I can figure it out...
Lightning tends to freak me out when I'm on the lake..makes me head for cover quick. Even though you're a nut I bet it was still pretty cool to be out there when you were.
well i know I need to find me a great rain suit...my gore-tex ain`t gore-texing we both had gore-tex on but that didn`t matter in that rain. Who makes a nice rain suit,,has to have bib`s with it. But as far as the lighting,,,my butt was puckered a few times and ducking..but beleive me,,,if the stripers hadn`t had come up when they did,,but butt would have been home,,but got to catching them and next thing you know....toooooo late soride it out. God love the DNR over there, they kept coming down the ramp checking to see if we drowned or got hit by lighting,,would have loved to have known what he was thinking about them crazy guys that don`t have the sence to come in out of the rain,,,
Way to go Doug, I did pretty fair Fri. on the cats. Remember last year when you and I got into the stripes after the hard rain. Man they are a blast when there hittin on top. Hope to see you guy's down there again soon. Just called the dam and the guy sounds a little discombobulated giving the report...the perfect storm for sure. Chuck
I've got an appointment with Doug to do some work on my boat this Thursday. I might have to rethink this as I now know he is one crazy son of a gun!!![]()

LOL. I just called McAlpine too and I've never heard a report like that one. I knew someone had posted on this and the word "discombobulated" fits perfectly. You nailed it riverrat.
Basicaly, the guy on the phone message, says "The three day forecast,er, well, you might as well disregard because the forecast for the lower is 11 too 11.1 and we're already running 15 feet.
That was the 10:00 AM reading to be updated at 2:00 PM and I called at 5:00 PM.![]()
