Bobby you must have missed the other post we had on this but you'll be hard pressed to find anyone on this site that thought this man was guilty of anything.

I think today's young people for the most part are a bunch of Woosy's. Society and passive parents made them that way. Way too much everybody gets a trophy crap. Guess what people not everybody gets a trophy sometimes some of us just stink and that's life.
WAY TOO MUCH CODDELING in today's society with no consequences when you do bad.
In life there are wins and losses, up's and down's, happy days and Sad, and not everybody gets to frickin win all the time. Sometimes you gotta just plain ole LOOSE so you can know what life is really all about.

That man was treated like a common criminal while we release drug addict, stealing, raping thug punks everyday, it was a joke. The jury got it right, a big way to go from this camp.
Sorry for the rant but this is one of my biggest pet peaves is this love cures everything crap, sometimes a good swift kick in the ass is a whole lot better, I'm done.

AMEN MARK AMEN. Yes I missed other post. I agree 100% if you played football, or any high school ball in the 70's/80's when you pratcied you pratcied. . I do think they over medicate kids today, it is very strange however that when spanking and corrective action was taken away from teachers , that ADHS became an eppidemic, now most all kids in school take some kind of calm me downer. Spare the rod spoil the child. Not talking about abuse either.

Testify brother Mark, TESTIFY!! Coach Stinson was doing what a football coach is supposed to do. The loss of a young mans life is a tragic event no matter what the case...be it drugs, shot by a gang member, a victim of a drunk driving accident or who knows what...just so happens that Max was a decent kid and living a respectable life as far as I know, which makes this entire ordeal a double tragedy in my opinion.

You guys should have seen me the first time my daughter was playing basketball in Grade School and I thought the scoreboard was broke. So I politely went down to talk to the folks about getting the scoreboard working and if they couldn't then whom was keeping score.

They look at me like I've got three heads and say, ''Sir...we don't keep score at this age it's not important and there are no loosers in this game''. Now keep in mind this is like the fourth grade. I look at that lady and say Mam with all due respect that the dumbest thing I've heard in awhile and I don't agree with it. My wife fussed at me, so what I'm use to that, lol. When the game was over ALL the kids ran up into the bleechers to ask their parents Who won the game. I of course kept score in my head and told my daughter what the outcome was. I remember playing Grade School basketball then on into Middle School and we had coaches that would look you dead in the eye and say ''Son if that is the best you can do than just sit down cause that ain't gonna cut it''.
Sure I got me little feelings hurt once and awhile but I wouldn't change it for a minute it makes you mentally and physically tough and that is how you make it in this world, not by being patted on yout little head all the dang time.

I am very sorry for the loss of this young and especially his parents. No parent should ever have to bury their kids. I've watched what it has done to my Mother having to do it twice, and it just plain stinks. But her blaming this man is not going to bring her son back, and she needs to let it go and Greeve properly.

The grand jury should have never indicted him.

I think it speaks volumes that nobody else on the team had issues that day. If 2 or 3 of them had passed out or had medical problems, then he was likely pushing them too hard. If one person has a medical issue on a large team such as a football team, then the coach probably isn't to blame.

Bullseye! I played whatever sport was in season when I was growing up and I got bruised, slapped, pushed, spewed my wheaties, whined, bled and even played hurt. Just a part of growing up in sports as far as I'm concerned.

What happened was tragic but the man was innocent and I am 100% behind the decision.

Mark I take it your not into putting kids in ....time out?

The boys dad was there during practice. As a parent he should have noticed any symptoms 1st, not blaming the dad or coach in this one.
