Typical politics. Why would anyone vote against posting for everyone to see it unless there was something to hide? Bet the "change" administration backers have an explanation that we the people just wouldn't understand......

The Dimocrats just voted not to post the full version of their healthcare bill on the internet. They had a single dissenting Democrat, Ms. Lincoln who voted with the Republicans. There is a condensed version of the bill on the web, but they don't want us to see the real thing. Looks like we're in for another 1000 page unread bill being pushed into law with no regard for what the majority of Americans want.
Republicans want bills to be posted a minimum of 72 hours before being voted on, but that's been shot down by dims and the most transparent administration in history.
Unprecedented transparency? Another campaign promise that turns out to be a mockery of the truth.

Sure would like to hear why? I guess once you have pulled the crawfish walk on your promises it becomes your standard more of operation. The only "change" I see is that this group does what they want and the media gives them a pass.
Its obvious now to me that you people have no Idea whats going on. It dont make a hill of beans whats voted on because the Senate is working out the details in commitee to form a bill. Geez dont any of you watch C-Span? I been watching them all week until 9pm, they are doing nothing right now so dont check it out tonight.![]()
There back on if anyone cares to watch whats really being debated.![]()
Grassley is the wrong person representing you republicans in commitee.Baucus tearing him up!

As usual you miss the whole point. Do you deny your party defeated a measure to post bills online for 72 hours and get a Congressional Budget Office report on it's cost before voting on it? Well do you? You call that the transparency our President promised? Do you?Its obvious now to me that you people have no Idea whats going on. Your attitude is typical of the left. Coming on here tossing out 'you people don't know jack' drivel. I know your party passed a 900 billion dollar spending bill without giving anyone time to read it. I know I sure as hell don't want that to happen again. I also know the lawyers will take the healthcare conceptual language you're seeing on C-Span and turn it into a couple of thousand pages of incomprehensible jargon. Your party will then deny anyone a chance to try and sort through it before trying to ram it through. This won't happen you say? Wanna bet?
Maybe it's not 'us people' who don't know what's going on. Take look in the mirror...and drop the holier than thou style, it's not working.
Watching C-Span doesn't make anyone an expert if they're too deep in denial to interpret what they're seeing. Besides, watching a bunch of bought and paid for windbags go through the ponderous motions of getting something done ain't my idea of entertainment anyway. Most political decisions are made well out of sight of C-Span's cameras.
Nice try but give us a break. What does your repeat posts have to do with what this thread was started about? Eventually there will be a bill after all the politicians get done adding some pork. After the bill is completed and before it's voted on for passage why wouldn't you want to post it for everyone to read unless you didn't want everyone to read it? Stay focused, it's not about the dog and pony show on c-span, it's about what they end up with after the show is over and try to shove down our throats. Its obvious now to me that you people have no Idea whats going on. You might ask yourself would you be saying the same thing if republicans did the same thing? Or would you be throwing a hissy fit and posting "where's the transparency"??? "where's the transparency."??? "we need change" !!! "we need change"!!! C'MON MAN![]()

And what's with the "you people" reference? Reminds me of that scene in Tropic Thunder.![]()
Exactlty to the point, well said and I would love to see Mr. cork reply to your questions. As usual you miss the whole point. I remember how he stood up on stage and acted like he was so proud and smart about this transparency issue. I knew he was telling a lie then and my thanks to him for proving me right.
Transparency, where have you been since August? Thats when the bill was put out for everyone to read and scrutinize. As usual you miss the whole point. Do you deny your party defeated a measure to post bills online for 72 hours and get a Congressional Budget Office report on it's cost before voting on it? Well do you? Why do I say that, the bill is in commitee now and every change is made public and there will be debate for a final vote so the republicans as usual have got you guys riled up again.
I am not holier than thou, just very informed.

Devil's Horse, do you happen to have a link to news report on this? I'm not questioning whether it's true, I just would like to read what reasons (if any) the Democrats gave for voting against it, because this just doesn't make sense to me.
