Well the guy is nuts! But there is no way you are getting down the road straight across from crowville road. Let alone with a boat. I just buried my Xterra trying to make it all the way back to it. The mudders have it torn up really well. I had to put logs under all 4 tires to get out. Do you all know of another way in?

Is that a bass tournament out of Angle mounds this Saturday. I have never had any luck bass fishing below the Newburgh dams. However I hardley ever have any luck fishing period. I have caught a few keepers up by the french islands though. But I normally put in at yanketown boat ramp. I never locked through but have been wanting to experience that for a while now. Lived in Newburgh for 5 years now and just don't go to the river much.

what is the entry fee and payback % ?
    Thanks

I've heard they are draining it and also heard that they are going around the north end of it. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Skeeter, the entry fee is $50. $5 of that goes to big bass and $5 goes to ramp fee. (they always have hot dogs or brats for us at the weighin) and $5 is held back for our classic. The payoff is on $35 per boat. You can fish alone or with a partner. The beauty part of Angel Mounds is you can go down river, up river and lock thru or go up the green. If you want to lock thru at Newburgh and haven't done it before I can assure you there will be boats locking thru. You can observe how it's done. If you live in Newburgh and not fishing the river your missing out on a lot of fun. The bass are smaller but they are there. The key is to find the spots. Send me your email address and I'll put you on our mailing list so you can be up to date. [email protected]

Never mind just got the results emailed to me.
Thanks. I also went out saturday afternoon with my dad, brother and niece. Thought we would try some stripper fishing in the middle of the afternoon. No Luck.
I did catch 1 sauger under a log 100ft from the angle mounds boat ramp though. Let my neice reel it it. She thought it was cool.
