That review that you recommended says the improved clinch gave the best knot strength for fluorocarbon. That's what I use.I use a Palomar Knot with plenty of SPIT before cinching it down and never had any problems. I use the Palomar on EVERYTHING including braid, mono and flouro. I Palomar my C Rigs and 3 way rigs on my FNF and never had a case where the line came back un raveled as if the knot came loose. Landed many 5+ pound brownfish on 4 and 6lb test Flourocarbon leader, 8lb Fireline Braid mainline all with Palomar knots with no problems.
I use the palomar for braid.
How do you tie a palomar for FNF on the second loop of the swivel (after you've tied into the first loop)?
I've still got the same number and email however i dont have your number anymore....turns out my phone doesnt swim as well as that dog/coyote did on cumberland....send me a pm with your number and as soon as i get my classic over with it'll just about be time to start drownin some minnows
I had forgotten about the dog/coyote. Man that was strange!
I'm sending you a short email with my contact info.
I tie my flourocarbon leader to the 3 way swivel with a palomar, then tie the swivel to the braid with a palomar pulling thru the swivel and flourocarbon leader before cinching, then measure off your leader length and cut then tie on your jig. 3 knots all palomar. I do the same for my C Rigs, tie the leader to the 2 way swivel first, then put on bullet weight beads and tie other end of swivel to main line, measure leader to length and tie on hook. Again 2 knots both palomar.
XPS changed there mono not the flouro... It should still be the same good stuff!
Good to know. Thanks
I to use the invisx, been great all year. Abrazx was fine in the spring and not as stiff as the trilene or xps in the 8- 15 pds. range.
