Wish old Elnut here some good luck....

Nothing else to do while I recover so I have been playing on line poker all week. So far cashed in 5 different tournaments with 2 - 4th place and 1 - 5th place finish plus I am ahead in the cash games. The luck I need is that I just won a tournament that qualified me for a $215 Buy in No Limit Texas Holdem tournament on Poker Stars that starts Sunday afternoon at 4:30. Guaranteed minimum prize pool is $1.5MM and will go up depending on the number of paid entry fees. The last one they had paid $1.7MM to the winner and just under a million to 2nd place. Paid all the way down to 360th place got back almost $500. Tonight I paid $1 and beat out 1296 people for my $215 entry fee plus $396 in cash. Let me win the first place prize in this Big Daddy tournament and the Winter Fishing Get Together is on ME. We will keep the $20 door prize pool going and I will have to donate a Ranger Z21 Commanche with a 250 HPDI Yamaha and all the trimmings to the door prizes as well for someone. Wish me luck for if I am still alive, I know EXACTLY where I will be at 4:30 sunday afternoon, my recliner, my laptop, Poker Stars.com, large glass of ice water waiting for them to "Shuffle up and Deal"

Good Luck Elwood. You will be certifyable float and flyable if you win it all. I never had the guts to play for real money. I do have over 800,000 in play money, but what does that get me...nothing. Do you have a lucky hole hand to play, I mean besides pocket aces?

Play one hand for my brother-in-law. He loves playing poker but is now on life support in a hospital in Miami, FL with no chance for recovery.

I hope you win the $1.5 million; I'm sure it would be some fine medicine for your illness. I WISH YOU THE VERY BEST LUCK.

That would have been a great response if you had just left the last half off.

All of the online poker sites are run offshore. I play at PokerStars.com which is the largest site for online poker. There are 100's of sites like this one and I never had a problem with Poker Stars. As far as lucky hands, I really don't have any lucky hands. My favorite is pocket 6's, both red preferrably, and I like 10-J suited a lot as well. I switch up my game a lot from conservative to aggressive hand to hand so nobody gets a good read on me. I do play position poker and am ALWAYS aware of where the button is and only play premium hands in early position but those hands become less premium in later position, especially if nobody has raised in front of me. Been watching and playing for years to get where I am at in my experience today

It's been suggested that we have a little Texan Hold em tourny at the Winter Fishing Get Together. Do I smell a set up? He...He..

I need to find a way to pay for my trip so I figure I would lure everybody into a Holdem tourney at the get together then take all the money to pay for my trip. Had it all setup until I opened up my big mouth and now Boone has busted me. Please disregard my post for I opened my big mouth, bring lots of MONEY to the get together and we will have tourneys all night long. If I win tomorrow, I still plan on donating a fully rigged Ranger to the Door Prize pool. Somebody has to win, might as well be me.
