    Nolin

I will be coming to Nolin Oct. 8th thru Oct. 10th, I will be staying at Ponderosa. This is my first trip to Nolin. Does anyone have any tips for catching Bass and or Walleye? I would certainly appreciate them.

    Thanks,
    Ron

Stay there at Ponderosa and fish? Really that area is good, the marina side. I imagine the fish are moving and all over the place right now. Directly across the lake from Ponderosa is a nice channel swing with shallow flats near by. You'll know what I am talking about after looking at the map. It does get fished alot though. That's were I would start. Use your typical fall baits. Although if it gets tough, don't be afraid to use a shakey head. I have caught some good fish over there in the past using that technique. I hope this helps.

They will be pulling the lake a foot a day during when you are down theer I believe ..
I have great luck during this period .Get some rebel crawdad craknbaits orange belly brown back, these baits are hard to beat when they pull the lake down

all of the crawfish are very active trying to find a new home !!!

For Walleye the river is the best place , up by Sportsman Paradise is good .WE troll crankbaits for them , buit the locals have great luck with eerie dearies tipped w/nightcrwalers .The walleye are not as plentiful as in years past but there a some still left ,the ones that have escaped the Amish LOL

    Re: Nolin

Howdy, we spend all summer at Nolin. Here's an article I wrote about fishing with crank baits there. It's for the average joe, sounds like you are far more advanced than who this is written for, but it might help you out. Take care and have fun, beautiful lake. Head down towards the dam and troll with the technique in the http://www.associatedcontent.com/art...in.html?cat=11article. We've caught some monsters doing this.
