82 Ranger 350V with 200 Johnson

I just got done going thru the whole boat. fixed everything. 1982 ranger with 83 Johnson 200. It`s a real solid boat. Single concole, new 55lb Minn kota. New seats I`ve just got finished color coating the top cap and trailer. Nice trailer with matching fiberglass fenders.

Well I went out and tested the Ranger after I did some work on it. Man this is 1 fast boat. It`s a 70mph boat easy. I can run it at 4000 and she`s as fast as any boat I`ve owned. The 200 started easy and ran smooth. It`s alittle slow out of the hole with the motor raised up on the jackplate but when she comes down,,,hold on to your azz. I ran thru some barge wakez and it took it like a caddy,,,

aint the motor a little big for that boat a think it s only rated for 150 max

your right,,,but it handles it with ease,,,had it out tonight,,,can run at 4000 and be running 45-50,,hammer down and its run 65-70 but i hardly ever need or want to run wot...for the money and all the new stuff,,,killer deal..ran in 2-3 ft waves on the river and rode like a caddy,,never got damp...LOL
