Big Bone Pool Ohio River

Hey guys fishing a Bass tournament in a couple weeks out of big bone just wondering if anybody knew what those fish are doing up there? Going to pre fish some just like to have an idea where to start thanks in advance.

Fished it 2 weeks ago not a single bass, 1 crappie and 2 catfish. Guy at the ramp had told me that it has been hard fishing there all summer. I throw a Shad rap J-4 jointed shad color there. 7" black power worm. Lot of guys throw a spinner slow rolled. That is a hard hit area they have one to two tournys a week there. One more think baby brush hog green pumpkin with 1/8 oz weight.I never catch anything that large there anyway, hope this gives you a start.

Throw crankbaits at the mouths of the creeks. I'd fish every one from Arnolds to the dam and back. Keep hopping around until you find a school of spots. Once you get your limit I'd go to the creeks and try for a kicker. A 2 pounder instead of a 14 oz. Water temp should be good but the mud may prevent success.

Sounds like you are preparing for the regional. I will be there as well but have not had a chance to fish for a while. Gong to do some prefishing a couple days before and hopefully find em, good luck to ya.
